It’s funny how emotions wriggle their way into your gut, how they gnaw at your insides and pound on your chest. They make you ache, like sick, like fever. They swim in your blood and course through your veins. They stand on your skin, in raised bumps and upright little hairs. They come up your throat and pour out your eyes, your nose, your loose-lipped, drooling mouth. They suffocate you. They possess your body and leave you helpless.
It’s funny, yes. So very funny. Guffaw, guffaw, guffaw.
